William Golding's Lord of the Flies and Tina Fey's "Mean Girls" has many similarities, but when it comes to how both stories were very different. Lord of the Flies ponders the question of human nature in a more morbid way, while "Mean Girls" there is jealousy and backstabbing, but it has a more redeeming ending.
"Mean Girls" and Lord of the Flies are both very different but they have similar concepts too. For example both stories have some sort of leader that changed through the stories. In Lord of the Flies Ralph started off as the leader , but Jack took his place, and in "Mean Girls" Regina George began being the most popular, but Cady took over. Both deal with bullying, for example Jack and his friends would bully Piggy, and "The Plastics" would bully mostly everyone at their high school. Also, both stories have the characters loss if innocence Cady matured quickly due to her public school, and all of the boys lost their innocence being on the island with no adult figures.
